Salt Dough Ornaments
Every time you look at your tree, you'll remember the time you baked these salt dough ornaments with your little ones.
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 cup salt
- 1/2 cup warm water
- Parchment paper
- Cookie cutter or knife
- Decorative stamps
- Plastic drinking straw
- Baker’s twine
Combine flour, salt, and warm water; knead until smooth.
Roll dough on parchment paper to 1/4-inch thickness. Use a knife or cookie cutters to cut out shapes, then use stamps to decorate.
Use a plastic drinking straw to make a hole at the top of your ornament.
Bake at 250°F for 2 1/2 hours until center has hardened.
Once cool, thread twine through the hole, tie, and hang.
